About This Recipe

Chia pudding is made by soaking chia seeds in milk until they absorb the liquid and form a thick, creamy texture. Fresh berries add colour and natural sweetness, making this an easy option for breakfast or a chilled snack.

🧺

Ingredients

For the Chia Pudding

  • 4 tablespoons chia seeds
  • 1 cup milk or unsweetened fortified plant milk
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract, optional
  • 1 teaspoon honey or maple syrup, optional

For the Topping

  • ½ cup strawberries, sliced
  • ¼ cup blueberries
  • 1 tablespoon chopped nuts or seeds, optional
  • A small sprinkle of cinnamon, optional

🌿 Healthy Tip

Use unsweetened milk and let the berries provide most of the sweetness. Add honey or maple syrup only if needed after tasting.

🍳

Method

1
Mix the Base

Combine the chia seeds, milk and vanilla in a bowl or jar. Stir thoroughly so the chia seeds are evenly distributed.

2
Rest and Stir Again

Leave for about 5–10 minutes, then stir again to break up any clumps.

3
Chill

Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or preferably overnight, until thick and creamy.

4
Adjust the Texture

If the pudding is thicker than you like, stir in a small splash of milk.

5
Top and Serve

Divide between serving bowls or jars and top with strawberries, blueberries and optional nuts or seeds.
